Healthy Nutrients Seniors Can Gain from Drinking Orange Juice

Besides being a favorite tasty breakfast beverage for many seniors, orange juice also includes a handful of nutrients that can benefit their health. Potassium

Flavonoids

Hesperidin

Flavanones are a subtype of flavonoids, and orange juice is also a convenient source of the flavanone hesperidin. The results of scientific studies in 2015 have associated adequate hesperidin intake with properties that reduce the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Other sources of hesperidin range from the common lime to the leaves of certain South African shrubs.

Though there are many benefits to drinking orange juice, your loved one should still consume it in moderation because it also contains negligible amounts of sodium, saturated fat, and cholesterol.
